It all began by seeing a painting by Francisco Goya, called  duelo de garrotazos ( duel with sticks) from the beginning of the the 19th century. On the picture  two men – they could be brothers- were attacking each other with wooden sticks.

So I started hanging modern mens jackets with strings from the ceiling, imitating their movement ... like a kind of quotation of Goya‘s painting, I repeated this gesture of the two men, that seemed really basic and raw to me, so old and contemporary at the same time.

... and then I tried to change my point of view ...

...and I went on hanging clothes... seeking gestures, that I felt were inherent in the clothes, like a kind of memory, revealing all the possibilities of human behaviour.
